The Ugly Lamp Contest features three main categories, each offering cash prizes and trophies for the winners:
MADE UGLY
Lamps that have been modified to become ugly.
1st Place: $50.00, Trophy & Ribbon
2nd Place: $30.00, Trophy & Ribbon
3rd Place: $20.00, Trophy & Ribbon
BORN UGLY
Lamps that are naturally ugly without any modifications.
1st Place: $50.00, Trophy & Ribbon

Sunday, July 7, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Monday, July 8, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Eligibility:
Exhibitors must be residents of Hardin County.
Condition:
All lamp exhibits must be in working condition.
Judging and Exhibit Pickup
The judges' decisions are final, and the winners will be announced during the fair. All lamp entries will be displayed throughout the week in the Family Living Building, giving fairgoers plenty of time to admire—or cringe at—the creativity and effort put into each submission.
